Hair Density Correction (Women)

While much of the focus of the hair loss industry is on men, nearly half of hair loss sufferers are women.

For women, hair loss generally involves overall thinning on the entire head where clients complain about a widening gap in their hair part and/or the whiteness of their scalp showing through too prominently. Through scalp micropigmentation (SMP), we can create the appearance of greater overall fullness through density correction techniques. Density correction SMP involves various methods of fully shading and/or stippling the scalp with our custom pigments and tools designed specifically for each method. While density correction SMP is performed primarily on women, it is also a great option for men who are lightly thinning throughout, rather than in one concentrated area or at the frontal hairline. We understand that hair loss can be a source of great stress and concern for both women and men, and at your consultation, your SMP technician will carefully examine the pattern and extent of thinning and make recommendations on the treatment that would provide the best solution for your specific situation. In women where the hair loss is relatively recent and primarily due to hormonal changes (such as in post-pregnancy), clients may wish to consider visiting their Doctor as a first step.

Why choose Scalp Micropigmentation?

Scalp micropigmentation offers a solution that is effective, permanent and fairly immediate. To learn more about how it can work for you, book a complimentary consultation.

At the consultation, our skilled technician will answer your questions and make a customized recommendation to suit your specific circumstance. After examining your hair and recommending a course of treatment, our technician will also provide you with a quote for the full cost of your treatment. While each case varies, in general you can expect the full treatment cost to be $2000-4000, plus applicable taxes.

How does it Work?

The first step is to book in for a complimentary consultation. We’ll discuss your hair goals and our technician will make recommendations on what we think would best suit you. We will also go over a few health questions to help ensure this is a suitable procedure for you, and provide you with a quote for the cost of the full procedure.

Generally, your treatment will take 3-4 sessions, each treatment lasting about 2-4 hours. The first two sessions will be booked consecutively, then a few weeks apart to allow pigment to settle and your scalp to heal. While we can estimate the length of your treatment, depending on the sensitivity of your scalp and how well it holds pigment, etc., it may take more sessions to achieve the desired final look. The quote we provided you at the start is for the full cost of your treatment, so even if you require additional sessions, there will be no additional charge to you.
