The right peel, not just a peel
There is no one-size-fits-all peel. Amy has been an esthetician for over 20 years, including more than a decade as Lead Master Esthetician in dermatology at The Polyclinic and Optum, working with thousands of cases across every skin type and condition. Dermatologists still refer patients to her today.
Her knowledge goes beyond any single brand's training. She chooses from a wide range of formulations to find the option that is safe, effective, and realistic for your lifestyle. You'll understand your options and why she recommends what she does.
Amy also trains other skin professionals. She has certified over 2,000 students and trained estheticians, nurses, and physicians.
What we use
We work with professional lines including The Perfect Derma Peel, Glytone, and Image Skincare, along with individual acids chosen for specific concerns:
Lactic: gentle, hydrating exfoliation for dull, dry, or sensitive skin, including rosacea-prone skin
Mandelic: gentle on sensitive skin and a good fit for deeper skin tones, for acne, pigmentation, and melasma
Salicylic: oil-soluble, clears congested pores and breakouts
Kojic: brightens and helps fade pigmentation and melasma
Jessner's: a blend for acne, pigmentation, and uneven texture
TCA: a deeper peel for texture, fine lines, sun damage, and scarring
Start with a consultation
Every peel starts with a consultation. We assess your skin, match the right formulation to your condition, and talk through any prep your skin needs and what downtime to expect. Peels can also be paired with dermaplaning.
-
It depends on the peel. Some have no downtime at all, while deeper peels can mean 7 to 10 days of visible peeling. We’ll plan around your schedule.
-
No. Visible peeling is a side effect, not a measure of results. Many peels work beautifully without it.
-
Almost everyone is a candidate for a peel. What changes is which peel. We work with all skin types and tones.
-
Yes, with the right approach. Both can flare with the wrong peel, so we choose gentle, targeted formulations and pair them with a homecare plan. This is where experience matters most.
-
It depends on your goals and your skin. Some concerns respond well to a single peel, while others improve most with a series. We’ll recommend a plan at your consultation.
-
Sometimes. Certain peels and skin types benefit from prep beforehand, and we’ll go over this at your consultation.
